The Interfraternity council/Panhellenic dance marathon revealed the THON 2013 theme, Inspire Tomorrow's Miracles.
Last years' theme was Brighten Every Journey. The float displaying the theme is featured in the Homecoming parade, which began at 6 p.m.
Anticipation fills the air as students and families line the streets of downtown State College waiting for the homecoming parade.
For Brandy Prebble and her son, from Pleasant Gap, this is their first Homecoming parade experience.
"Gareth is a humongous PSU fan and begged to come out," Prebble said.
Both of them are looking forward to the band most. Bill and Karen Long have been coming to the parade for years.
"There's still a big turn out and everyone is still supporting Penn State," Karen said.
Taylor Shill, a Homecoming public relations captain, said there had been a great turn out throughout the week long events.
"Everyone is really excited," Shill (senior-public relations) said.
