A person reported Tuesday being sexually assaulted at an unknown time on Waupelani Drive, the State College Police Department said.
The person reported the assault, which is listed as a rape on the police log, at 9:06 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The assault happened somewhere along the 400 block of Waupelani Drive, police said.
Police could not give any more specific details about the sexual assault.
The gender of the people involved is unclear and police could not specify if either of the parties involved are Penn State students.
This is the second sexual assault reported this week. The first was reported as having happened sometime over the weekend on the 100 block of East Beaver Avenue, as previously reported.
This is the fifth sexual assault reported since Aug. 27.
At the same time last year, at the end of September 2011, Penn State Police and the State College Police Department had collectively fielded seven reports of sexual assault or potential sexual assault since Aug. 22, 2011.
