Politicizing the Sandusky case

It seems every day, more rancid fruit comes from the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse case. The latest is the attempt of Democrats and progressives to politicize the Sandusky sex abuse case, by smearing Gov. Tom Corbett, as if he was personally involved.

Let me be clear — I am quite angry that Corbett may have had a role in giving Joe Paterno and former president Graham Spanier the boot, without any kind of hearing. I realize — as I hope all thoughtful people do — that one can be both anti-sex abuse and pro-due process. But the notion being forwarded by some outfit called “Keystone Progress” that Gov. Corbett was somehow personally involved in either the abuse, or the cover-up, is absurd.

After the Tucson, Arizona shooting last year, President Barack Obama wanted the country to elevate the level of political discourse. Perhaps he should lecture the folks at “Keystone Progress.”
