A person reported that he or she was sexually assaulted on the 700 block of West College Avenue, the State College Police Department said.
The sexual assault, which was reported to police at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, happened within 24 hours of being reported, police said, though a specific time could not be provided.
Police could not release the gender or identity of the person who said they were assaulted. Police could also not release any information with regard to whether or not the person knew who sexually assaulted him or her.
Police also could not comment on whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident, citing an ongoing investigation.
Three sexual assaults have been reported to local police since Aug. 27.
