Outside observer notes opportunity for rebuilding

Penn State alumni: This is your moment. You are well-aware of the effect football glory has had on your campus.

You made your coach the image of the university. He failed. You have a chance to reclaim the image of the university as an academic powerhouse.

Self-improvement is the most difficult step anyone ever has to take but it is the only one that works. We are happy to have you in the Big 10 and we would welcome your example. In fact, we need it. Drop all football for 10 years. You can thus move from last place in Big 10 to the first. Why not?
