State College Police are investigating an indecent exposure incident that happened between 5:30 p.m. and 6:03 p.m. on Monday at Schlow Centre Region Library.
A white male between 40 and 50 years old approached a juvenile female in the "Young Adults" section of the second floor, southwest corner of Schlow Library, 211 S. Allen St., police said.
After approaching the female, the man exposed himself to her and masturbated in front of her, eventually exiting the library at 6:03 p.m. and walked South on South Allen Street, police said.
Cathi Alloway, the director at Schlow, said that the library is glad that the witness was brave enough to come forward and say what happened. Alloway said the library is cooperating with police and hopes the man who exposed himself is found soon.
Police further described the man in connection with the incident as balding with very short or shaven hair, a thin build and wearing a light blue polo shirt and green or tan cargo shorts.
Police are asking if anyone can identify the man described or have any information pertaining to this incident to contact State College Police at 814-234-7150, Centre County Crimestoppers at 1-877-992-7463 or submit an anonymous tip through the State College Police website.
