Police to charge students who ran through library nude

Two male students were identified by Penn State University Police after running nude through Paterno Library early Wednesday morning.

Paterno Library employees reported three men running “completely nude” through the ground floor of the library at about 2 a.m., University Police Chief Tyrone Parham said. When University Police arrived at the library, officials only found two of the men, who were both in boxers when identified.

The men were not arrested but police took down their names and addresses and said the men will most likely be charged at a later date, Parham said. If they were to be charged, it would be with open lewdness and disorderly conduct, Parham said.

University Police said that at this time, officials are not sure why the students were running nude through the library, Parham said.
