Hundreds gather for 'Road to THON'

The second oldest THON event was held Thursday night to honor those involved with Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.

The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel was where the Road to THON Celebration Dinner was held where 760 donors, volunteers and members of the THON community were in attendance.

Kirsten Quisenberry, public relations overall said four awards were given out at the dinner including a Four Diamonds award where one individual award is given out for each of the Four Diamonds.

Quisenberry (senior-public relations) said that along with donors and faculty, large THON supporters attended the dinner. She said what started out as a small banquet years ago to get ready for THON weekend evolved into a nice tradition that they have.

"It's a good way to say thanks to everyone involved and get excited for what's going to happen in 22 days," Quisenberry said.
