An open letter to the Penn State trustees

You tragically erred. You ceded control of the university to CNN and ESPN. You had a “ready, shoot, aim” mentality, and your actions were, and continue to be, cowardly. You refuse to take full responsibility for your actions. You failed our university on so many levels.

The best thing would be for you to resign en masse and let us pick a group of individuals who have the courage to resist outside pressures, act with deliberation and can treat all members of the Penn State community with the respect they individually and collectively deserve. You have forfeited your right to represent Penn State.

Please, leave quietly. Don’t wait for a phone call.
