Buie suspended indefinitely

Freshman guard Taran Buie has been suspended from the Penn State men's basketball team, Sports Information Director Brian Siegrist announced on his Twitter on Monday evening.

According to Siegrist, Buie has violated a team rule and will not dress for the Nittany Lions' Big Ten opener against Indiana on Monday.

No additional details were provided.

This is not the first time Buie, half-brother of senior co-captain Talor Battle, has been in trouble since arriving on campus.

In July, Buie was cited for disorderly conduct outside of the downtown McDonalds along with Penn State football player Curtis Drake.

Then in August, Buie was again cited for underage drinking, also in downtown State College.

Buie is averaging 5.8 points in 15.2 minutes per game for Penn State this season.
