Highly touted Penn State basketball recruit Taran Buie was cited for underage drinking on Saturday morning - his second citation this summer.
Police said Buie, the half-brother of Penn State basketball player Talor Battle, was stopped when officers were investigating a fight between Penn State student Moyosoreoluwa Akinade, 18, and an unknown assailant at 1:19 a.m. Saturday outside of Atherton Hall, police said.
Akinade was screaming that he had been jumped, police said.
Akinade then identified Buie -- who was still in the area near Atherton Hall -- as the individual who jumped him, police said.
Buie had a fresh cut on his face and smelled strongly of alcohol, police said.
But Buie denied any involvement in the fight with Akinade, police said.
Both men "reeked" of alcohol and both were cited for underage drinking, police said.
Akinade was also cited for disorderly conduct after police had to restrain him when he attempted to hit a bystander, police said.
The State College Police Department cited Buie in July for disorderly conduct after police said he and Penn State football player Curtis Drake were seen throwing punches outside of McDonald's, 400 E. College Ave.
Drake, 19, was also cited for disorderly conduct following the incident and both were fined $443.50, police said.
