Lions sweep St. Francis

The Penn State men's volleyball team swept EIVA foe St. Francis (30-19, 30-19, 30-26) Friday night in Loretto.

It was the Nittany Lions' first match back from a spring break trip in California where they notched two wins over two ranked opponents.

Against the Red Flash (8-9, 1-4 EIVA), Penn State (16-3, 7-0 EIVA) was led by redshirt sophomore Joe Sunder, who had a match-high 17 kills, and sophomore outside hitter Ryan Wolf, who tallied a team-high nine digs. Senior Max Lipsitz recorded five blocks.

The No. 6 Lions attacked a combined .337 clip and limited St. Francis to .082 hitting.

Penn State returns to action Sunday at Rec Hall where it will play No. 14 Ohio State.
