Lynch denied spot in NCAA tournament

Adam Lynch was not chosen as one of the 330 wrestlers to participate in the 2010 NCAA Wrestling Championships.

The tournament brackets were revealed Wednesday, and Lynch's name was not announced during the presentation of the 141-pound weight class.

Lynch finished the season 13-13 overall and took sixth-place at the Big Ten championships. He became the starter midway through the season after the departure of Colby Pisani from the Penn State wrestling team.

The senior still has a year of eligibility left, but his wrestling future is unknown.

Six Nittany Lions automatically qualified for the national tournament.
