Defense falters as Lions fall to CMU

Two days after pitcher Jackie Hill helped propel her team to a victory, her defense unraveled around her.

The Penn State softball team fell 5-2 to Central Michigan on Tuesday as Hill was saddled with the loss.

Hill went five innings, giving up five runs. However, only one of the runs was earned as the Nittany Lions committed two errors.

A three-run fifth inning broke the game open and Penn State was unable to rally.

Penn State will take on Saint Joseph's Wednesday at 2 p.m.
