Wrestling sits in second at Big Tens

The Penn State wrestling team is in second place heading into Session II of the Big Ten Championships.

As a team, the Nittany Lions have 59.0 points, trailing only Iowa who has 93. Minnesota is in third place with 56.5 and Wisconsin is fourth with 47.5.

Seven Penn State wrestlers have advanced to the semifinal round of the tournament. Frank Molinaro (149 pounds) and Brady Pataky (125 pounds) have already qualified for the NCAA Championships by advancing to the semifinals.

Also advancing to the semifinals are Adam Lynch (141), Cyler Sanderson (157), Dan Vallimont (165), Dave Erwin (184) and Cameron Wade (heavyweight).

The tournament will start up again at 6 tonight.
