Penn State tight end Andrew Quarless became a clutch target late for
Northwestern's Mike Kafka, as his 2-yard touchdown catch with six seconds
left gave the East squad a 13-10 win against the West at the East-West
Shrine Game on Saturday in Orlando, Fla.
Nittany Lion quarterback Daryll Clark helped lead the East's other two scoring
drives -- both of which ended with field goals -- by going 7-for-10 for 75 passing yards and three rushing yards.
Punter Jeremy Boone was the third Penn State representative and he
averaged 46 yards per punt, including one that went for 57 yards and
another that pinned the West near its goal line.
