Lions pound West Virginia

Thanks to three straight pins, the Penn State wrestling team (5-1) cruised to a 33-12 victory Friday over West Virginia.

With the Nittany Lions down 4-3, Colby Pisani notched a fall at the 5:28 mark of the 141-pound bout. Frank Molinaro (149) and Cyler Sanderson (157) also won by fall to push the Lions' lead to 21-4.

Other winners for the Lions were Brad Pataky at 125, Dan Vallimont at 165, Dave Erwin at 184 and heavyweight Cameron Wade.

Cameron Wade's opponent, Brandon Williamson, bit Wade on the hand, which led to the Mountaineers losing a point. Williamson must now sit out West Virginia's next meet.

Meanwhile, Penn State travels to No. 24 Pittsburgh Saturday for a an intrastate clash.
