Men's soccer knocked out of NCAA Tournament

The Penn State men's soccer team lost to Maryland 2-1 Sunday at Jeffrey Field.

Brian Forgue scored the only Nittany Lion goal on a header on his first collegiate shot. The second-round NCAA Tournament loss marks the end of the season for Penn State.

Maryland took the lead with about three minutes left. Billy Cortes, who scored Maryland's first goal, crossed the ball to fellow Terrapin Jason Herrick for a header tally.

The Lions finished the season 12-8-2 overall.
