Cozy Thai Bistro relocates to Allen Street

Cozy Thai Bistro relocated from its 454 E. College Ave. address to 232 S. Allen St. last Thursday, the owner said.

The new location, which is larger, will serve lunch between the hours of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dinner will be served Monday through Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Friday's from 5 to 10 p.m. The store will also be open on Saturdays from noon to 10 p.m.

The store's old location is currently under construction and is planned to reopen as Tana Asian Café before the spring semester, owner Suksan Ruangpattana said.

Student waives preliminary hearing

A Penn State student charged with public drunkenness after police said he was found walking around the HUB-Robeson Center naked in September waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday, according to court documents.

Preston Queenan, 21, was charged with open lewdness and public drunkenness Sept. 20, police said.

The man's blood alcohol content level was .150 percent, police said.

Police investigate East Halls burglary

Penn State Police are investigating an East Residence Hall dormitory burglary that occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 5, police said.

An individual or multiple individuals entered the unlocked dorm room and took a Dell Studio XPS laptop worth an estimated $1,300, police said. No one was injured during the incident, police said. Police did not comment whether any individuals were in the dormitory room during the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000, police said.

Racial slur reported in East Hall dorm

A resident assistant reported at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday an unknown individual wrote a racial slur on a Penn State student's East Residence Hall dorm door.

"N-----" was written on the Stone Hall dorm door, but Penn State Police Lt. Jason Zajac said he does not know whether it was written on a white board, the actual door or any other specifics of the situation.

DA appeals decision to dismiss charges

The appeal of the Centre County Court's decision to dismiss a Daily Collegian photographer's failure to disperse charges has continued, court officials said.

Photographer Michael Felletter was charged after the Ohio State riot that ensued downtown last October. The charges were ultimately dismissed, but Centre County District Attorney Michael Madeira has appealed the decision to Superior Court, according to court documents.

Madeira met the Nov. 16 deadline to file more briefs as part of the appeal, he said Wednesday.

Fraud: A Penn State student reported that $429.51 in unauthorized charges were made on the student's personal credit card at about 2:40 p.m. Nov. 15 at an out-of-state retailer, Penn State Police said.

Theft: A Penn State student reported at about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday that an iPhone, wallet and other contents worth an estimated $500 were taken from an unsecured locker inside the White Building Fitness Center, Penn State Police said.
