Freshman Amy Simidian won two matches on day two of the Purdue Invitational as the Penn State women's tennis team wraps up its fall season this weekend.
Senior Lauren McCarthy and sophomore Michaela Stracar added another win for the Nittany Lions in doubles play.
Simidian defeated Purdue's Jennifer Rabot, 6-2, 6-4 for her first victory on the day and beat Purdue's Paola Calderon, 6-3, 7-5 for her second.
McCarthy and Stracar also picked up their victory against the Boilermakers, winning 8-6.
The Purdue Invitational continues Sunday in West Lafayette as Penn State takes on Purdue in doubles action and Miami (Ohio) in singles.
