Community sounds off about latest of T-shirt controversies

I can't believe people's feelings are getting so bent out of shape because of a measly T-shirt. Seriously. This is just a microcosm of what has become so problematic with our world.

People's feelings get hurt over mere words and expressions that have absolutely not a hint of malice behind them. It's a little tiring, frankly.

It's getting harder and harder to find people with thick skin anymore or who can separate reality from a little fun-poking. There are real problems out there people, and if a silly T-shirt ruins your day or upsets you so, I'd love to have your life because you must not have real issues to contend with -- like figuring out how you're going to send your kids to college, or if your job is going to be around next week or whether your sick mother is going to be around to see another Christmas.

Get a grip and loosen up.

As far as the "sportsmanship" of this whole episode goes, why don't we worry a little more about actually treating our visitors like fellow human beings this Saturday? I think they'd gladly accept a little playful mocking from a cartoon T-shirt over getting doused with beer.
