Democratic candidates take mayor, district attorney's office

With 100 percent of Centre County precincts reporting, Democratic candidate Stacy Parks Miller has been elected as district attorney, and Democratic candidate Elizabeth Goreham has been elected as State College mayor.

Parks Miller won with 64.7 percent of the vote against Republican incumbent Michael Madeira, who gave a concession speech shortly after 10:30 p.m. at a private residence in Toftrees.

Goreham won with 62.3 percent of the vote against Republican Joe Wakeley.

Democratic candidates Don Hahn, Ron Filipelli and Thomas Daubert were elected to State College Borough Council, keeping it an all-Democratic council. Hahn and Filipelli were incumbents in the race.
