Icers lose in shootout

Correction appended

The No. 3 Penn State Icers lost their second straight-game at the Ice Line in West Chester, falling to No. 9 West Chester 4-3 in a shootout.

Dominic Morrone, Tim O'Brien and Ryan Paradis scored for the Icers (4-1-1). Paradis' goal put Penn State ahead with less than five minutes left in regulation, but a goal by Golden Rams (4-3) forward Steave Meade 30 seconds later tied the game at three.

After a scoreless overtime, the Icers and West Chester were tied at two through four shooters in the shootout. However, the Icers' Chris Cerutti was stopped by West Chester goalie Matt Murnane. Ted Gilbert then scored off of Icers goalie Teddy Hume to win the shootout and the game for West Chester.

Check tomorrow's issue of the The Daily Collegian for more information.

Correction: This article incorrectly states the last Icers shooter in the game. The player was Eric Steinour.
