Lions fall to Hawkeyes

Penn State's struggles with Iowa continued Saturday night, as the Hawkeyes defeated the No. 5 Nittany Lions 21-10 in front of 109,316 fans at Beaver Stadium.

Adrian Clayborn blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown to give Iowa an 11-10 lead in the fourth quarter, and the Hawkeyes struck again on a 13-yard touchdown run by Adam Robinson after a Daryll Clark interception.

The Lions (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten) jumped out to an early lead on a 79-yard touchdown pass from Clark to Chaz Powell on their first play from scrimmage, and Collin Wagner added a field goal late in the first quarter.

But Penn State could muster little offense in the final three quarters and committed four turnovers.

Penn State has now lost seven of its last eight games against Iowa.
