Student finds ticket system to be not worth the trouble

I couldn't agree more with Patrick McDermott's Sept. 16 column "Ticket system inflates guest prices."

With friends coming up to visit for the Temple game, I encountered firsthand the major annoyances associated with purchasing a guest ticket.

Because my girlfriend will be traveling home this weekend to visit her family, I figured I could use the ticket she transferred to me, pay the absurd guest verification fee and be on my way. Wrong. Not only can a ticket not be transferred to a student who already has a ticket associated to his or her account, each student is limited to one guest.

Also, guest tickets must be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Center Tuesday through Thursday during inconvenient hours when most students have class.

The numerous loops and excessive fees associated with the current system will only result in more students breaking the rules and sneaking friends into the student section through other means.
