Linebacker Lee day-to-day

Sean Lee suffered a sprained left knee in Penn State's 31-6 win over Temple on Saturday, and his availability for practice is day-to-day, Penn State assistant athletic director for communications Jeff Nelson wrote in an e-mail.

Lee, who was recognized by the Big Ten Sunday as the conference's defensive player of the week, recorded 12 tackles in the Nittany Lions' win. The senior captain left Saturday's game in the fourth quarter and was not made available to reporters after the game.

The outside linebacker sat out the entire 2008 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during a spring practice.

Lee leads all Penn State players with 32 tackles for the young season.
