LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Football ticket system failure inhibits student both games

Two weeks ago, I waited in line for about two hours at the Penn State Athletics office at the Bryce Jordan Center for a guest ticket to the Akron game.

When I got the game, I was told I needed to see the resolution booth because there was a problem with my tickets. Because I wasn't able to enter with my friends, I couldn't sit by them.

This past Thursday, my friend and I showed up early at the ticket office to buy guest tickets because we thought we would "beat the crowd."

I was pleased to see ticket purchasing was moved from the athletic office to the main ticketing area.

We were able to be first in line, but once again the system had issues.

Three hours later, after ordering pizza, watching the television and playing cards, we were told the system was down and we wouldn't be able to get tickets today. We were told that we could come back to the Bryce Jordan Center the next day to get tickets, if there were any left.

Something has to be done about the ticket system that Penn State is using this year. The system doesn't seem reliable.

Please Penn State, save us the hassle and stress.

Find a solution to the football ticket problem! Buying tickets for friends shouldn't be so hard!
