Penn State fans who have been wanting a full size poster of Beaver Stadium now have their wish.
Fathead Wall Graphics has announced its new line-up of products for this fall and it includes three college football stadiums. Ohio State's "The Horseshoe," Notre Dame Stadium, and Beaver Stadium are the only college stadiums to make the cut.
Fatheads are vinyl wall graphics that are advertised as being easy to move from wall to wall without damage. They started out as life-sized images of prominent professional sports figures but have recently expanded to team logos and now college football stadiums.
Tony Simon, from Fathead public relations, feels that the Beaver Stadium Fathead will help Penn State fans show off how big of fans they are.
"The stadium gives just a brief glimpse into your 'fandom,' " he said. "It's perfect for any fan's wall and just in time for the upcoming football season."
The Beaver Stadium Fathead is an "awesome addition" to any room where Penn State football is celebrated, Simon said.
Measured at eight-by-four feet, the Fathead is priced at $199. This is more than $100 more than other Fathead products, which include team helmets and logos.
The difference in price may not be as ideal for those actually attending Penn State.
Nick Grasso (freshman-business) feels the price is a little too steep for his college budget.
"I think that'd be more of something that my dad would buy and put in the living room," he said. "$200 is a little steep. I mean, I gotta eat."
Starvation wouldn't stop everyone, however. Matt Green (freshman-pro golf management) said he would definitely put up the cash for a Fathead, but not one that depicts architecture.
"If you show me a Daryll Clark Fathead, I'd give you a heck of a lot more money," he said. "I'll see Beaver Stadium every Saturday. I'd kind of like to say hello to Mr. Clark every morning."
