The Penn State Athletic Department released information Thursday about the 2009 student football ticket sale on its new Web site called "Student Central."
The athletic department will use an ID-based system to store this season's student tickets instead of issuing paper coupons, according to the Web site, gopsusports.com/studentcentral.
Student tickets will be issued online following the same process used in the 2008 sale: a pre-regristration, followed by a separate first-come, first-served sale for each of five class designations -- seniors, juniors, sophomores, freshmen and graduate students, according to the Web site.
Pre-registration will take place from May 27 at 8 a.m. to May 31 at 5 p.m. Student ticket sales will occur the week of June 22. Starting times for the sales will be announced on the Web site on May 20, according to the Web site.
