Penn State football player Navorro Bowman will serve a year's probation after court officials said he admitted he smoked marijuana during his previous probation for a 2007 fight.
Bowman's probation officer said he had admitted smoking marijuana twice during his probation. Additionally, Bowman told Centre County Judge Bradley Lunsford he had been doing community service in the area but didn't know how to go about registering his time with Centre County.
The Nittany Lions' linebacker will now have to recomplete his 100 hours of community service, abstain from alcohol or drugs and undergo drug testing, Lunsford said.
If he violates any of the new terms of his probation, Bowman will face six months in prison, Lunsford said.
