First, allow me to congratulate basketball coach Ed DeChellis and his players: You were inspired last night and it showed through your play. Second, I congratulate all the fans who made the trip to Madison Square Garden last night, whether on one of the busses from State College or elsewhere. I have rarely been more proud to be a Nittany Lion than I was while watching the victory over Notre Dame last night. To see so many Penn State fans supporting the team and representing our school on a national stage is commendable. Last night you showed what kind of fans we have at Penn State.
Hopefully, the atmosphere of last night will carry over not only to the championship game Thursday night (who woulda thought it? Championship, April, and Penn State all in the same paragraph...), but to future seasons. Let's continue to make Penn State basketball into something more than just a way to kill time between football seasons.
