Case transferred to federal prosecutors
The case of a Harrisburg man charged with robbing a State College bank has been transferred to federal prosecutors, Centre County District Attorney Michael Madeira said.
Seth M.J. Yocum, 30, was arrested in December and charged with felony robbery and three other offenses in connection with the robbery of Citizens Bank, 1248 S. Atherton St.
Yocum was also charged in January in connection with a previous Perry County robbery at the Orrstown Bank in Newport.
Madeira said the federal government has a firmer sentencing structure for Yocum's offenses, and the move allows charges in both counties to be handled at once.
