Trash to Treasure sale to be held

The Trash to Treasure bag sale will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today in Fisher Hall, where students will find plastic bags filled with leftover items from a weekend sale.

What was left from a Trash to Treasure's winter sale held this past weekend in Fisher Hall has been placed in bags and each bag will be sold for one dollar, Jonathan McVerry, a writer and editor at Penn State's marketing office, said.

The items in the bags come from student donations that have been collected since December.

Trash to Treasure, a collaboration between the Centre County United Way and Penn State, raised more than $55,000 for Centre County charities last year, according to the program's Web site.
