Police: Bicyclist struck by car

A bicyclist was struck by a car's passenger side mirror in a hit-and-run accident at about 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday in Ferguson Township, police said.

The bicyclist was traveling westbound on West Whitehall Road when the vehicle tried to pass and struck her in the arm, police said. The bicyclist went to the hospital for injuries, police said. The extent of her injuries is unknown, police said.

The vehicle that fled the scene is described as a large, white SUV, police said.

Motor Vehicle Theft: A Mercury Voyager was reported stolen Wednesday while parked on 140 W. Nittany Ave., the State College Police Department said.
