Hunters should consider vegetarian options for diet

This letter is in response to the article "Fraternity prepares to hunt" (Dec. 1). I am appalled that this group of men considers deer meat their primary source of nourishment. These frat boys kill so many of these beautiful creatures; don't they know Wal-Mart is just around the corner with a complete supply of fruits and vegetables? No innocent animals would have to be slaughtered to feed these guys.

Deer does not need to be their only means of food. Maybe these savages should look for berries in the forest instead of deer.
