Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is scheduled to speak at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Rec Hall, the College Republicans president said.

Alex Smith, president of the College Republicans, said doors open at 6 p.m., and tickets and additional information on the event can be found at the Centre County Headquarters for John McCain, suite 207 of 108 W. Beaver Ave.

Smith said there is a lot of excitement about the event within the group, adding Palin will convince some people to volunteer and to vote.

"I think it shows how important Pennsylvania is going to be this year in deciding the election," Smith said.
