Art exhibit to display ambrotypes
An exhibit titled Ambrotypes from the B. and H. Henisch Photo-History Collection is on display in the B. and H. Henisch Photo-History Collection Exhibition Room, 201 A Pattee Library.
The exhibit features ambrotypes, positive pictures made of a photographic negative on glass backed by a dark surface, of portraits and outdoor scenes. Most of the ambrotypes in this exhibition were created by unnamed photographers. The collection, which opened in September, will continue until Dec. 30.
Gospel singer to hold a free class
Jazz, blues and gospel singer/keyboardist Amina Meyers will hold a free master class at 4:15 p.m. today. The lecture will take place in 8 Mueller Laboratory. The class is being held in conjunction with Meyers' performance at Esber Recital Hall, which is at 8 p.m. Friday.
