Late Night games, activities have changed for the worst

I recently saw the article entitled "Plenty of entertainment for under 21 Students" (Sept. 11). I have been a big fan of the Late Night Penn State program since I transferred to main campus in 2006. However, I am wondering why most of the big sell items such as game shows and bingo have mysteriously disappeared. I remember talking to Marc Brandt of Mr. B's Game Show and he was wondering if the Student Programming Association (SPA) was cutting their budget.

If such is true, I am very disappointed, since it seemed like those activities were a big reason for going to Late Night -- especially when you get to return home with something else than just the experience. The lack of diversity in activities at Late Night is leading me to think I can do better on my free nights. I worry the lack of enjoyment also will shy new members away and thus defeat the vision for alcohol-free entertainment. I hope SPA will reinvigorate my weekend nights by providing improved activities at Late Night Penn State.
