Hardcore-metal band Hatebreed to play

Connecticut hardcore-metal band Hatebreed will be playing an all-ages show at 6 p.m. Sunday at Lulu's Nightspot, 129 1/2 Pugh St. The band is touring to promote its newly released concert DVD, Live Dominance.

Also on the bill are Emmure, War of Ages, Soilent Green and Catalepsy. Tickets for the show are $16 before the show and are available at City Lights Records, 316 E. College Ave., and Ticketweb.com. Tickets are $18 at the door.

State College native to play blues show

Bluesmoon will play at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Café 210 West, 210 W. College Ave. Cover charge for the over-21 show will be $3. The band, which specializes in blues, classic rock and funk, features State College native Andrew Jackson on drums.

Wolf Parade tickets go on sale today

Advance tickets for the Nov. 13 Wolf Parade concert at the State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave., are on sale for University Park students today.

Presented by Roustabout!, the show will feature two indie rock bands from Canada: Wolf Parade from Quebec and Listening Party from British Columbia. Wolf Parade was formed in 2003 when singer-keyboardist Spencer Krug was offered a gig supporting The Arcade Fire.

Tickets can be purchased at thestatetheatre.org/purchase.php or at the State Theatre box office. The show is open to all ages and costs $15 for students and $22 for the general public.

Police Log

n Pedestrian Accident: A student was injured after being struck by a bicycle on Shortlidge Road at 12:13 p.m. Wednesday, Penn State Police said. The student stepped off the sidewalk as the biker passed a truck in the street. The student was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of pain and minor injury, police said. The bicyclist sustained a minor arm injury, police said.
