Lions easily defeat Oregon State, 45-14

The only man busier than Evan Royster on Saturday was Beaver Stadium's scoreboard operator.

Royster led the way for the Nittany Lions in their 45-14 thrashing of Oregon State. The junior tail back carried the ball 17 times for 144 yards and three touchdowns.

The Beavers couldn't get anything going offensively for most of the day. Their first five possessions yielded four punts and a turnover on downs. By that time, the Lions had already established a 28-0 lead.

Senior Lion quarterback Daryll Clark had an impressive day. Clark completed 14 of 23 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns. He added 64 more yards and another touchdown on five carries.
