News in brief

Sports Café & Grille remains closed

Contrary to several reports, the reopening of the Sports Café & Grille, 244 W. College Ave., did not occur this weekend, AJ Madden, a man working at the site, said.

Madden said to look for it to be "coming soon," but could not provide a specific date.

The left inside wall is lined with a counter and several bar stools. High tables and chairs populate the center of the space, and a few wooden booths line the center wall partition. Several big-screen TVs cover the tan walls.

State Theatre begins showing 'Reprise'

Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday , the State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave., will be featuring Reprise, a Norwegian film about romance and rebellious youth.

Reprise follows the main characters, Phillip and Erik, through their journey to the point in life when youth meets reality.

Bigger, Stronger, Faster*, a film about perspectives of the steroid culture in America, will be ending its showing at the State Theatre on Wednesday. Both films cost $7 and $5 for students and seniors.
