College Colors Day promotes spirit
Penn State students can show their spirit by wearing blue and white today as part of the national College Colors Day 2008.
Students are encouraged to wear jerseys, T-shirts, jewelry -- anything that shows school pride, according to a press release from the Collegiate Licensing Company, which organizes the event.
"The annual celebration is dedicated to promote the traditions and spirit that make the college experience great," the release reads. The date is meant to coincide with the beginning of classes and the start of college football season. The first College Colors Day was held Sept. 2, 2005.
