Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has been chosen to be John McCain's running mate, the campaign announced this morning, making her the first female to serve as a Republican vice presidential candidate.
Jon Dandrea, president of Penn State Students for John McCain, said he believes McCain made an "excellent choice."
Dandrea said he is looking forward to seeing Palin as the next vice president of America, adding he thinks it's great that he chose a woman.
"That's not something our Democratic rival saw fit to do. I think it's great that the Republican Party is reaching out to women voters," Dandrea said, adding, "I think it's a big step forward for us. I'm glad that it's balanced that way."
