In response to "Arrington editorial writing was pompous and childish" (July 16): Mr. Lasek describes the editorial's writing as "sophomoric," but I would like to remind him that the use of the word sophomoric is, itself, sophomoric. Therefore, by the transitive power of sophomorism, I propose that your letter was more sophomoric than the editorial it was criticizing, and that you should work on getting a better sense of humor.
