Penn State Police are seeking a suspect in connection to a May 6 assault in the Intramural Building, according to a press release the department issued today.
Lt. Jason Zajac said the police took two months to report the incident, which he classified as a "simple assault," because of end-of-semester backup and attempts to improve surveillance video taken of the suspect.
In the still shots taken from the surveillance video, the suspect appears to be a muscular, tall black man wearing a white sleeveless shirt and gray basketball shorts. The incident took place during a pick-up basketball game, according to the release. The photos are available at psu.edu/dept/police.
Zajac could not confirm if the alleged victim or the suspect are students, but said the victim sustained a lump on his head and stitches in his eye.
