Three others charged in connection with 'Mifflin Streak'

Three more students have been charged in connection with the "Mifflin Streak," Penn State Police said Wednesday.

The charges were filed in Magisterial District Justice Carmine Prestia's office against Christopher M. Ferry (freshman-engineering), Peter Francesco Gordon, (freshman-business administration) and Brian T. Bickley, (freshman-science). Gordon and Bickley face charges of open lewdness and disorderly conduct, and Ferry faces charges of open lewdness and disorderly conduct as well as resisting arrest after police said he fought with several officers as he was apprehended.

On Tuesday, charges of disorderly conduct and open lewdness were filed against Jeffrey P. Gesner (senior-aerospace engineering), also in connection with the streak.

The Mifflin Streak, during which students run down Mifflin Road naked, happened Sunday.

Penn State Police Lt. Bill Moerschbacher said "about a normal number" of students were arrested in this year's Mifflin Streak, a finals week tradition.

"We're out there just trying to keep things under control -- not necessarily to arrest everybody," he said. "We do get complaints from the public, but it's against the law, no exception."
