Obnoxious students ruin football experience for all

My husband, daughter and I traveled to State College to attend the Blue-White game this past weekend.

Unfortunately, we saw very little of the game due to the rude behavior of the students in front of us. Not only were they standing the entire game, but we also had to subject ourselves to such a show of muscle-flexing and booty-shaking that we could have sworn we'd landed in Las Vegas.

And please, don't retort that "kids will be kids." It got worse. When I nicely requested that they might sit down -- which would have alleviated the entire problem -- they either glared at me or scoffed. I have not witnessed such obnoxious behavior in quite some time. Other adults in our vicinity were complaining in like manner and got up to leave. So did we.

I suggest that Penn State develop a new course that is mandatory for incoming students: Etiquette 101.
