In response to Mr. Richmond's letter yesterday, I do not feel that increasing the student ticket allotment should be considered.

How many games do you attend or watch on TV and see the student section half full at the end of the first quarter? I was embarrassed both at the Wisconsin and Ohio State games this past year -- upon entering the stadium a few minutes before the game, there were no students in the student section. Only by the end of the first quarter did the section start to fill up. There should never be an empty seat in the student section for ANY game.

So Mr. Richmond, I do not agree with you. If the students actually attended the games, including the games versus opponents like Temple, I would. But they do not, so why should alumni and Nittany Lion Club Members such as myself be left out to watch a game at home so some student can either not go to the game or scalp the ticket on eBay?
