Janitor reports defecation on book
A janitor reported someone defecated on a book lying on the floor in the stacks section of East Pattee Library, Penn State Police said. The incident occurred sometime between noon and 10 p.m. yesterday, police said. The book, Christianity and the Roman Empire, is valued at $54.
Film shown for Palestine awareness
As part of Palestine Awareness Week, Students for Justice in Palestine will hold a screening of the documentary USA vs. Al-Arian at 8 tonight in 107 Wartik.
USA vs. Al-Arian is a 2007 film that explores the American-Muslim family life and illustrates the Al-Arian's attempt to contest terrorism charges by the U.S. government, according to the film's Web site, www.usavsalarian.com.
