Penn State student Ross Trammell, 21, died yesterday of natural causes related to heart failure, an autopsy performed at the Mount NIttany Medical Center revealed today.
"There's nothing suspicious about his death. It was his heart," said Judy Pleskonko, Chief Deputy Coroner of Centre County.
"It's rare, but yes, it does happen."
The State College Police Department responded to the 200 W. College Ave. apartment yesterday afternoon after receiving phone calls from Trammell's roommates, who found him unresponsive in his bedroom, according to a police statement.
Trammell, of West Chester, was pronounced dead at the scene.
